Kissel Cabbage Corporation was founded by Walter and Ernie Kissel in the early 1960's.
They first marketed their sour cabbage and sauerkraut to retailers in the
Regina and surrounding areas. It was then bought by Dennis Hansen and Doug
Gienow in 1977. They had supplied the Kissel brothers with fresh cabbage for a number of years.
In 1980 Dennis and Barbara Hansen became sole propietors & started aggressively marketing their product throughout Western Canada and into some of Northern United States. Recently in August 2005, Jeanette Hansen, Kaelene Hansen and Angelique Haysom took over the business.
Kissel Cabbage is a well established, well known name in the sour cabbage and sauerkraut business across Western Canada.
